DPU Supports Türkiye-Tunisia Joint Heritage Route Exhibition
The illustrative painting exhibition titled ‘Türkiye-Tunisia Common Heritage Route’, organized by Kütahya Dumlupınar University and Tunis Yunus Emre Institute with the support of the Embassy of Tunisia in Türkiye was opened in the city of Susa.
Organized with the cooperation of Kütahya Dumlupınar University and Tunis Yunus Emre Institute and with the support of the Turkish Embassy in Tunisia, the exhibition reflecting the local history and culture took place within the scope of the 6th International Textile Fair in the city of Susa, 120 km southeast of the capital Tunisia. The exhibition's illustrative paintings of historical artifacts symbolizing the common heritage between Turkey and Tunisia were exhibited.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak, who published a message about the exhibition, expressed his thoughts as follows:
Turkey and Tunisia are two countries with a long history of friendship. Tunisia, as a Mediterranean country bearing traces of the Ottoman Empire and Islamic civilization, has a structure similar to Turkey in many respects. As Kütahya Dumlupınar University, we have shown our will to organize the Turkey-Tunisia Common Heritage Route Exhibition to make an important contribution to the long-standing friendship of the Turkish and Tunisian nations, which they aim to continue.
