International Women’s Day Exhibition at DPU
The exhibition specially organised for International Women’s Day at DPU Faculty of Fine Arts Zafer Exhibition Hall was opened with the participation of our Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak mentioned the historical events that led to the acceptance of 8 March as International Women's Day. Noting that the colour purple, which is one of the symbols of this day, is a symbol of justice and dignity, Prof. Dr. Kızıltoprak wished for a world where the problems experienced by women disappeared at the end of his speech. After the exhibition opening, our rector presented carnations to the female artists, academicians and students who attended the ceremony.
The exhibition, which included works by world-renowned illustrators such as Pawel Kucnzsky, Agim Sulaj and Goyo Rodriguez, included a total of 50 works by artists from Poland, Ukraine, Germany, Uzbekistan, Russia, Iran, Iraq, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Spain, Italy, Romania and Bulgaria.
