The Great Success Of DPU In ERASMUS+ KA171 2022 Project Results

The Turkish National Agency announced the results of the project applications made within the scope of the 2022 term Erasmus+ Key Action 1 Learning Mobility of Individuals - Higher Education Student and Staff Mobility (KA171) with third countries not associated to the programme.

The Most Successful Erasmus+ KA171 Project Term For DPU

According to these results, Kütahya Dumlupınar University (DPU) was ranked among the best higher education institutions in Türkiye in many fields.

Our university has achieved great success by gaining the right to mobility with 37 different universities (excluding KA131-EU countries) in a total of 23 different countries in a wide geography extending from Far East Asia to South America, from Russia to Africa. Our university, which was accepted from all countries for which project applications were made, ranked 8 th in Turkey in terms of the number of accepted countries, and ranked 5 th among state universities. In addition, DPU became the 3 rd state university with the highest mobility budget (265.980 Euro) in Türkiye.

Welcoming the news from the European Union Presidency Turkish National Agency, our Rector Prof. Dr. Kazım Uysal said, “Thanks to the internationalization policy of our university, which we celebrate the 30th anniversary of its establishment, and our institutional experience that has increased over the years, we have brought our relations with foreign countries to a further point. In the last 3 years, we have increased the number of countries with which we have agreements from 4 to 23. I would like to thank all our academic and administrative staff, especially International Relations and Student Coordination Application and Research Centre (ULMER).”

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Göçmez stated about the good news: “At the beginning of the academic year, we established a new Centre by combining the International Relations Office and the International Student Unit, and this has contributed to the internationalization of our university.”

The Director of ULMER, Dr. Muhammet Yunus Şişman, has drawn attention to the responsibility that the university is about to take and asked for support from all units. Dr. Şişman also said “The project results evidently show that the successful internationalization policies that our university administration has pursued with determination. We will continue our efforts to help our university staff and students reach better international opportunities with all staff at ULMER.”
