DPU Mountain Climbing Union climbed Uludağ Mountain on 29th of October

Kütahya Dumlupınar University’s Mountain Climbing Union climbed the Uludağ Mountain on 29th of October for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Turkish Republic

DPU students Batuhan Öztürk, Ece Mutlu, Muhammed Kayabaş and Yunus Emre Dayan, who started climbing from Büyükdeliler village of Bursa's Osmangazi district, completed the summit walk, which started from an altitude of 1276 meters, within 5 hours, taking breaks, and reached the summit of Uludağ at 2543 meters at around 14.00. Our athletes who reached the summit held a moment of silence by unfurling the Turkish Flag for our martyrs and heroic veterans who gave their lives in the establishment of our 100-year-old republic and its current status, and then sang our National Anthem. Our Community members completed their descent preparations at the summit, where they stayed for about an hour, and completed the descent, which they started at 15.00, at 17.30, and walked a total of 15.47 kilometers.
