Bosnian and Macedonian Students learning Turkish at Dumlupinar University

23 June 2014, Monday Bosnian and Macedonian students learning Turkish at Dumlupinar University have had their language certificates. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Karaaslan, the rector of Dumlupinar University, has mentioned that students in Bosnia Herzogevina and other countries having common historical background want to study in Turkey and also in Dumlupinar University, adding that it is a good chance for foreign students to come together and get to know each other by means of Turkish universities.

Education Fair in Erbil, Iraq.

23 June 2014, Monday Our university has opened a stand to meet Iraqi students and introduce Dumlupinar University in the Education Fair at Selahaddin University in Erbil promoted by Rony Company. Prof. Dr. Iskender Isik, the head of department of Materials Science and Engineering at Faculty of Engineering and also Miktat Bektas, the director of Student Affairs have given detailed information about our university to the students. Thousands of Iraqi students have visited stands in education fair.

Cooperation with Universities in China

23 June 2014, Monday Cooperation meetings have been completed between Dumlupinar University and three universities and a language institute in China. Prof. Dr. Kaan Erarslan, the vice rector of our university, has stated that Dumlupinar University has agreements in various issues with Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Language and Culture University, Beijing Jiatong University and HANBAN Confucius Institute Headquarters.

International Festival in the U.S.A.

23 June 2014, Monday Assist. Prof. Dr. Levent Mercin, the head of Graphic Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dumlupinar University, organized a workshop on Turkish art such as marbling, calligraphy, chine and batik, and held an exhibition in International Festival arranged in Florida and participated by 30 countries on 2-5 May, 2013.

23 June 2014, Monday In the content of Mevlana Exchange Programme, meetings were held in Florida International University and University of Miami (Florida), Southern University (Louisiana), Rockford University and Chicago American Islamic College (Illinois), Stevens Institute of Technology (New Jersey), Columbia University (New York) and Chicago Northwestern University in order to have a scientific and academic collaboration and cooperation..
