Our Sound Flag: The Turkish Conference at DPU
Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Centre (DPU TÖMER) organized a conference titled ‘Our Sound Flag: The Turkish’ at our university.
Our Sound Flag: The Turkish Conference was held at DPU.
Making the opening speech of the event, Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak said the following:
Turkish has been important since the early ages. Although Turks had different beliefs before, they preserved both national and religious sensitivities in their language after they accepted Islam. Islam spread worldwide in Arabic and influenced the places where it spread. However, even though Turks accepted Islam, they did not fall under the influence of Arabic.
Today, there is no part of geography where Turks do not live and Turkish culture is kept alive in different geographies. Knowing Turkish will raise you to an important position in social, cultural, and artistic terms. You need to know this language to understand 350 million people in the Turkic world. You can understand and learn the art of Itri, the genius of Mimar Sinan, and the glorious history of this nation in the best way with Turkish. You will soon learn from your own experiences that Turkish is a very easy language to learn.
