’Living Museums’ Add Value to DPU
Private Dumlupınar University Museum and Private Ahmet Yakupoğlu Museum, operating with the principle of “Living Museum“ within Kütahya Dumlupınar University, continue to be the focus of attention of teachers, academics and art lovers, as well as students from all age groups, from kindergarten to postgraduate, in the 2023-2024 Academic Year.
DPU's museums continue to host visitors from all walks of life.
Educational activities of different qualities are carried out in the specially qualified Dumlupınar University and Ahmet Yakupoğlu Museums, which are managed by the Museum Directorate within the Faculty of Fine Arts of our university and adopt the principle of 'living museum'.
The indoor and outdoor exhibition area of the Private Dumlupınar University Museum, which is centrally located in our Evliya Çelebi Campus, provides an ideal educational environment for the formation and pattern courses of our Faculty of Fine Arts and the architectural drawing courses of the Archeology Department of our Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Dumlupınar University Museum, which also attracts the attention of high school students, continues to host visitors from all over our country as well as our international students. Finally, the megaron planned building model in the garden of our museum, which won the appreciation of the students and teachers of Selahaddin Eyyubi Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, who came to Kütahya from Malatya within the scope of the Evliya Çelebi Student Exchange Program, is a model of a megaron planned building in the garden of our museum, where preschool and primary school students can practice archaeological excavations, thus providing not only archeology but also cultural heritage. It opens a door where they can improve their perspective on heritage.
