Within the scope of the 'Gluten Free Kitchen' project of Kütahya Dumlupınar University Pazarlar Vocational School, which was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in February, it is aimed to produce gluten-free products special for celiac patients.

The planting of buckwheat and quinoa seeds, which will be used in the production of some of the products, on the University's land has started today. Buckwheat and quinoa seeds were provided by Kütahya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture. Our municipality provided vehicle support. With the trial plantings to be made, the cultivation and yield rates of quinoa and buckwheat in Kütahya conditions will be determined. According to the results obtained, it is aimed to raise awareness about the introduction and cultivation of buckwheat and quinoa to Kütahya farmer.

WHAT IS CELIAC?

Celiac, a disease that occurs as a result of the abnormal response to the gluten protein found in cereals such as wheat, barley, and rye by the body's immune system, occurs in one in every 70 to 200 people in most countries around the world.
