Dumlupınar Battle Echoes in the Press
The 1922 Book of Battle of Dumlupınar Supreme Commander in the Press, prepared within the scope of Dumlupınar to Dumlupınar Project conducted by Kütahya Dumlupınar University, was published.
The 1922 Book of Battle of Dumlupınar Supreme Commander in the Press was published.
In the work prepared as a result of the study which lasted about 1 year; the news of the Great Offensive launched by the Turkish armies against the invading Greek armies has been in chronological order since 27 August 1922.
Yenigün, Yeni Şar, Tevhid-i Efkar, Vakit, Hakimiyet-i Milliye, Babalık, İleri, Peyam-ı Sabah, Akşam, Karagöz, Güleryüz, The Times, Le Petit Parisien, Le Temps newpapers were analysed for the period between the signing of the Mudanya Armistice and the entry of the Turkish army into Istanbul. The news in the Turkish and foreign press were in the book with its original forms.
The book includes news of the August 30, 1922 Dumlupınar Battle which was directed by Commander-in-Chief Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk from Kütahya-Zafertepe.
THE BOOK IS THE RESULT OF AN INTENSIVE STUDY FOR ONE YEAR
Project Coordinator Assoc. Dr. Arif Kolay said the work was created by a team after a year of hard work. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kolay stated that "We are planning to review and expand the work with our working group in the future. Hopefully Dumlupınar Supreme Commander in the Press 1922 book will be a useful resource for readers" .
