Record Participation at the International Poster Contest on Zero Waste

The application process of the International Poster Contest on Zero Waste organized by our DPU Faculty of Fine Arts and Adnan Kahveci Foundation has been completed.

The application process of the International Poster Contest on Zero Waste organized by our DPU Faculty of Fine Arts and Adnan Kahveci Foundation has been completed.

The contest, which was sent out by 2 thousand 407 designs by 1,317 participants from 67 countries, was the highest participation contest of the four international contests held on the posterland.org website and broke a record.

The poster competition project, in which works have been carried out since September 2019, will continue with the evaluation of the designs of an international jury of 21 people consisting of academicians and professional designers from different continents and countries of the world. Competition process, preliminary evaluation on 22-25 May 2020, jury evaluation between 27-30 May 2020, suspension of the first 100 finalist posters on 1 June 2020, second hanger on 3 June 2020 and award winners on 5 June 2020 will continue with poster design and announcement of its designer. The location of the Competition Exhibition, which is planned to be opened on 5 June 2020 World Environment Day before the epidemic, will be announced in the coming days.

In the process after the exhibition, a product catalog will be created from the first 100 poster designs exhibited and sent to the relevant institutions and libraries. In addition, some of the top 100 poster designs will be used in different graphic design products (website, sub-mail design, calendar, postcard, wall painting, totem etc. outdoor advertising products). The exhibition consists of the top 100 posters in the competition on different dates opening also in large cities in other countries and Turkey, today's most important, one of the environmental problems and consequently a 'zero waste' visibility of the issues will be increased and will be provided awareness targeted in the project.
