Nations had hard times in history, and Ahiska Turks were just one of them tyrannized by Stalin. Ahiska Turks were exiled two times, in World War II and in 1980s. Therefore, it is very essential to create a historical consciousness among young people. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Karaaslan, the rector of Dumlupinar University, has mentioned that our aim is to grow intellectual, empathic and experienced people embracing all mankind, having strong communicative skills. If people gained the brotherhood consciousness, people wouldn’t have those kind of sorrows.
